Nicole Scherzinger the former Pussycat Doll has teamed up with rapper 50 cent for her new sexy single Right There. The r&b track which is released on the 6th of June is her third solo single and is the lead single for her new debut album, Killer Love which was released on March 18th 2011. The urban album peaked at no. 8 on the Uk album chart and the single debuted at #77 on the Billboard Hot 100 which became her first US single as a lead artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100. Aside from her new track Nicole has taken the role as judge on US X Factor after Cheryl Cole was sacked. The sexy pop star is also booked to appear in this week’s live final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Urban hip hop superstar Snoop Dogg is perfoming his 1993 debut album Doggystyle live. When the hip hop album was first released in 1993 it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold over 800,000 copies in its first week which was a record for a debuting artist and became the fastest selling album. Doggystyle has earned several accolades and is regarded as one of the best rap and hip hop album. The album went on to sell 8 million copies worldwide and is still one of Snoop Dogg’s highest-selling album.
The live show is in Manchester on the 15 July at the O2 Apollo, tickets are £33.50.

Loick Essien is an R&B urban artist and just released his third single, How We Roll featuring Tanya Lacey. Essien started his music career in 2008 after featuring on Chipmunks debut single, Beast. He then went on to release his own debut single in October 2010 entilted Love Drunk and is set to release his first studio album, Identity.
The new track How We Roll is definitely our song for summer 2011 and we are looking forward to the release of the new album.
Fat Feddys Drop are a seven piece band from Wellington, New Zealand. Their music is a mixture of reggae, jazz, soul, funk and dub and are considered one of the most successful contemporary bands in New Zealand. The album Based on a True Story won Best Album at the New Zealand Music Awards and was on the top 40 New Zealand sales chart for over two years. The bands most successful single is Wandering Eye, which was awarded the prize for Best Music Video at the 2006 New Zealand Music Awards.

After the huge hit from Dj Fresh with Gold Dust comes Louder, the single was also used for the new lucozade advert. The drum and bass dj started in 1996 but only released his first studio album, Escape from Planet Monday in 2006. In 2009 Dj Fresh gained mainstream attention with the 2010 track, Gold Dust which marked his first top 40 hit in both Uk and Ireland. This followed up with his second studio album Kryptonite which peaked at number 4 on the Uk Dance Chart. This will be another big hit for Dj Fresh, Louder will be released 3rd of June 2011.

Rio is a talented new urban grime artist from Manchester and is causing quite a storm since his introduction on the urban music scene. After pursing a football career that didnt work out, at 18 he turned his attention to music and after teaming up with producer Jodz and singer Chris Royal to create the track ‘Dance Like Me’, he has gone on to support acts such as Chipmunk, Platnum, T-Pain & Ironik and has been on shows by 1Xtra DJs Ras Kwame, DJ Q and DJ Target. The urban artist is now signed up to Rare Breed records and with his fresh style looks like hes here to stay for good.

Urban grime star Professor Green is lined up to play at this year’s Bestival which takes place at Robin Hill Country Park from September 8-11. The festival will also feature Primal Scream , The Drums, Santigold, Magnetic Man, Robyn, Crystal Castles, DJ Shadow, Katy B and headline act The Cure.
Professor Green has confirmed that he will soon be releasing his second album titled At Your Inconvenience, which will be released in August 2011 and the album’s first single will be “Read All About It” featuring Emelie Sandi. The rapper has won numerous awards including Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Best Hip Hop/Grime Act 2010 and Best Dancefloor Filler 2011. We cant wait for the new album to be released.
Better Off Dead are a streetwear clothing brand that use dark morbid graphic to potray humorous under line meanings. We love there The Queen T-shirt which strikes streetwear with a graphic print. Better off Dead garments are individully hand screen and hand printed and also come packaged with its individual information tag to make each piece a collectors item. Their t-shirts was also voted by complex on 100 best t-shirts of the 2000′s. The streetwear label has gone on to design other sub brands including False, Fallacy Of Rome, FALSE Sounds & Anti-Anti. No More Idols is the second album from electro duo Chase and Status and mixes together different genres to produce more of a compliation album. With artists including Dizzy Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Tempa T and Plan B to add rap vocals to the soul sounds of Mali and Cee-Lo Green. There is also collaboration with indie rock band White Lies and pop singer Clare Maguire which all make sure the album has a range of tracks which all display different vocal genres.
This is one brilliant album that fuses so many different vocal talents with the drum and bass and dubstep sound Chase and Status have been known for. This could well be one of the albums of the year.
Redfest music festival which takes place in July over two days will host some big dubstep names including headliner Nero, Ed Sheeran and Qemists. The annual festival takes place at Robins Cook Farm, near Redhill, on Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23 and will feature a main stage and a stage for introducing new and emerging bands and performers, as well as a dance tent.
Nero’s debut dubstep single ‘This Way’ released in 2008 became one of the biggest hits in the genre. They have gone on to have huge dancefloors hits with remix’s of the Streets, Deadmau5 and La Roux. For more info on the festival check out the website.
Beastie Boys have just released their eighth studio album entitled Hot Sauce Committee Part Two after four years since their last album. The american hip hop group from New York began in 1979 and are the longest lived hip-hop acts worldwide and continue to enjoy commercial and critical success in 2011, 24 years after the release of their debut album.
The urban trio’s new album is back to their best with reminisce from vintage Beastie Boys, tracks include collaborations from Santiogold and Nas. The album has been well recieved by the critics and has achived a high number of positive reviews indicating a Universal acclaim. With its blend of rock, hip hop, rap and electro this is one album to listen to over the summer.
Ambiguous are a streetwear and skate clothing brand from USA. The urban american brand started in the mid 90s with the view to do a job you enjoy which was to make clothes that your friends would want to wear.
