Rock of Ages new rock based film coming next year

Rock of Ages is an upcoming screen adaption of the 2006 Rock Broadway hit musical by the same name. The film is based on a small-town girl who travels to Hollywood in the 1980s Rock era and falls in love with a Rock star in LA joint The Bourbon Club. The film will feature Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin and Russel Brand and is expected to be released in the summer of 2012. The musical features songs by Journey, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Asia, Bon Jovi, Poison and other well-known Rock bands from the era.
